Retirement, Transitions, and New Leadership at Sort It Out Boston

It’s been nearly two decades since the creation of Sort It Out Boston. Since the beginning, I have had the privilege of assisting hundreds of individuals and families with their home organizing projects and transitions to their new homes. I am grateful for the trust you placed in me and my team members to get the job done, no matter how large the task or how small the detail. The time has now come that I oversee one more move – my own, into retirement. While I may be stepping aside, Sort it Out Boston will continue. As I contemplated retirement, I wanted to be sure that Sort It Out Boston was placed into the hands of someone who would continue to nurture it as I have, like a member of the family. I didn’t need to look very far. Nancy Patsios became the new owner of Sort It Out Boston as of January 1, 2020 .

Nancy and I have worked together very closely for several years and many of you know her well. She has become an integral part of the company’s business operations and in many instances has been the face of the company when working with clients. I am confident that the business is in good hands. With Nancy at the helm, Sort It Out Boston will continue to provide the same great level of service that our clients have come to expect over the years, and its mission of providing professional, compassionate and respectful services will not change.

I have been welcomed into homes often under the most difficult circumstances. By the end of many jobs I have very often felt like a member of the family, at least a temporary one, as we worked together to sort through the belongings of each lifetime. Moving from one location to the next, no matter the age or situation, is one of life’s most stressful events. I am grateful that Sort It Out Boston will continue to be able to take some of that stress away from our clients. To say that the work has been rewarding and fulfilling is simply not enough. I will forever cherish the relationships, friendships and memories made. Thank you all so much for your support, trust, and faith in me and the work of Sort It Out Boston. I am grateful to all of you, my friends, clients and colleagues. I will always look fondly on these years knowing that you all played a role in helping a dream of a business become a success. Please join me now in welcoming Nancy in her new role.

With tremendous gratitude,

Patricia Bernabei
